在外国商品大量流入中国之前,我国的商品包装装潢(以下简称“装潢”)是民族形式的。自1840年鸦片战争后,洋货源源流入中国,外国的印刷机也随之而来,各种彩色的装潢都可以印刷。外商除带来本国的设计人员外,还雇用中国的设计人员为其服务,于是洋式的装潢遍及全国。他们为了迎合中国的喜好,有的装潢模仿中国的形式,也有些中国商人为了盈利模仿外国的形式。当时的商标十分混乱,以“美女”
