In the new 21st century, the Pearl River Delta will enter the crucial period of comprehensively enhancing its international competitiveness and taking the lead in basically realizing modernization. At present, in the face of the brand-new era of opening up after China’s accession to the WTO and in the face of the opportunities and severe challenges posed by the economic globalization and the intense competition both at home and abroad, how can the Pearl River Delta be based on its geographical advantages and further strengthen the cooperation and economic integration between Guangdong and Hong Kong? The common prosperity of the two places has become the focus of attention of more and more people from all walks of life in Guangdong and Hong Kong. This article makes some discussion. First, the rapid rise and the main features of the vibrant Pearl River Delta Pearl River Delta is located in central and southern Guangdong Province, facing south China
