在过去的10多年中，广东以其优越的地缘位置和良好的经济基础设施而成为祖国大陆各省市中台商投资最集中的省份。两岸加入WTO后，随着两岸经贸发展格局的变化和广东产业结构调整步伐的加快，“人世”既为广东高标准、高质量地引进台资提供契机，同时也面临原来在全国招商引台优势地位减弱，台资在广东投资结构转型问题突出等新的挑战。在两岸加入WTO的新形势下，广东要开创粤台经济关系发展的新局面，就必须抓住机遇，迎接挑战，制定和实施一系列有针对性的政策措施。
Over the past 10 years or so, Guangdong has become the province with the highest concentration of Taiwanese businessmen in various provinces and cities of the motherland with its excellent geographical location and good economic infrastructure. With the changes in the pattern of cross-Strait economic and trade development and the acceleration of Guangdong’s industrial restructuring, the “benevolence” not only provides an opportunity for Guangdong to introduce Taiwanese capital with high standards and high quality, but also faces the original advantages of attracting investment from Taiwan in the whole country. The weakening of its position and the issue of Taiwan’s investment restructuring in Guangdong highlighting new challenges. Under the new situation of both sides joining the WTO, if Guangdong wants to create a new situation in the development of the economic relations between Guangdong and Taiwan, it must seize the opportunities and meet the challenges and formulate and implement a series of targeted policies and measures.
