美国,是世界上开展老年学研究较早的国家之一。1938年,标志为美国老年学里程碑的专著《老令向题》出了;1941年,美国建立了第一个老年学的研究中心;1944年至1945年建立了美国老年学会和美国老年医学会;1946年,美国出版了《老年医学杂志》。1965年,美国总统鉴署了“老年人法”。今天,老年学已成为美国社会科学的一个越来越重要组成部分,老年学研究受到社会越来越多的重视与支持。
The United States is one of the countries where geriatrics has been studied earlier in the world. In 1938, the monograph “A Theory of Old Orders” marking the milestone of the American geriatric school came out. In 1941, the United States established the first research center for gerontology; from 1944 to 1945, the American Geriatrics Society and the American Geriatrics Society In 1946, the United States published the Journal of Geriatrics. In 1965, the United States presidential reviewers signed the “law of the elderly.” Today, gerontology has become an increasingly important part of the social sciences in the United States. The study of gerontology is receiving more and more attention and support from the society.
