[Associated Press, Boston, February 19, 1981] According to a French study, a simple and inexpensive blood test will accurately predict the risk of a heart attack in middle-aged smokers. The researchers used the average 6.5 years to observe the health of 7,206 Paris workers reached the conclusion. The study was directed by Julia B Zalokar, National Institute of Health and Medicine, Villereri, France, and was published in the New England Journal of Medicine on February 19. This report further confirms the findings published seven years ago that leukocyte count is the exact omen of a heart attack but different from earlier studies
