In 1990, the international geosciences community had four major activities, namely (1) the 4th International Earth Science Intelligence Association; (2) the 25th annual meeting of the Earth Science Intelligence Institute (GIS); (3) promotion of CD-ROMs. GeoRef stored in the disk, (4) Reload GeoRef computer program through DIALOG intelligence service system. The Fourth International Earth Science Intelligence Association, hosted by the Canadian Geological Survey, was held in Ottawa on June 24-29, 1990. More than 300 intelligence professionals and geoscientists from 41 countries attended the conference.
