The use of high-strength concrete is important for reducing the weight of structures, saving cement and steel, and saving energy. At present, the 600~# concrete prepared using the normal process has been used in some special projects in China. In foreign countries, from 1972 to 1984 in Norway, the number of concrete used on offshore oil platforms has been increased from 400 to # 600 (φ150 × 300 mm cylinder strength), and considering the recent 800~# concrete is used on the reinforced concrete platform.
