2000年毕业于中央美术学院的杨静,已在当代艺术圈子里呆了六年有余,30岁貌似一个坎,许多人将自己事业的第一个转折点定在30岁,成功与否在此一役。杨静他们这拨人就站在这个坎上,在从学校毕业后的第三个年头,杨静与朋友兼同学的其他11个人就在酝酿着折腾一个展览,作为自己毕业三年的一个总结,这就是2003年的第一次“N12”联展,这个展览在那一年因其年轻而新鲜的亮相,给了无数人耳目一新的视觉冲击。N12的联展已持续办到第四回了,杨静的各色各样的玩偶精灵也以其“卡通”的视觉图示和另类的风格逐渐得到策展人和理论家的关注。
