在传统的戏曲艺术研究中,研究者一般把研究重点放在戏曲“纯美学”的研究上,这样就使戏曲艺术研究陷入了研究的“纯思的困境”、“美学的困境”中。而人类学以从实践出发的学术价值取向、回归生活世界的学术价值溯源、实现艺术审美和文化研究间会通中的并接的理念介入戏曲艺术研究则恰恰能使传统戏曲艺术研究脱离其身陷的困境,开创一条新的戏曲艺术研究的有效途径。同时,戏曲艺术和人类学相结合的研究方式也产生出了多重的研究意义。
