As a special group in the college, college English teaching in sport institutes has not been taken seriously enough, and English learning by the PE college students also has been in the passive state. This paper attempts to start from this particular group to explore and analyze the main problems existing in the English teaching in sport institutes, and points out that only combin-ing with flexible and effective teaching methods and means, making full use of multimedia teaching and increasing the fun of the classroom, can effectively improve the English teaching level in sport institutes.
