According to the statistics of AMMA, the total auction turnover of Chinese art auction in December 2011 as of December 31 was 42.807 billion yuan, with the total volume of transactions in 2011 reaching 93.4 billion yuan. This record is the highest in calendar years, 63% higher than the turnover of 57.3 billion yuan in 2010. However, the auctions in the spring and autumn of 2011 presented different development trends.
