古人说:“文章之作,在乎情性。”一篇文章,若欲感染读者,打动人心,就要讲究“情性”,做到以情夺人,以情取胜。如果寡情淡味,无论写什么内容,也将是苍白之作,无法吸引读者、征服读者。写文章所以要强调“情性”,是由文章的特点决定的。一篇文章无论是记叙性的或论述性的,都是为了影响人、教育人、改变人的思想感情的。不少好文章使人读后先是感情激动,然后引起深入的思考,进而受到教育。法国作家狄德罗说:“如果没有感情这个品质,任何笔调都不可能打动人心。”我国古代文论家刘勰指出:“情者,文之经;辞者,理之纬。经正而后纬成,理定而后辞畅,此立文之本源也。”由此可见,“为情而造文”是写好文章的重要规律。
