21世纪将是中国连锁业大发展时期，特别是加入WTO后，外资大型连锁企业进入我国，并不断扩展其业务，竞争将会相当激烈。那么，我国连锁业的现状如何呢？据中国连锁经营协会统计，2000年度中国100家大型连锁企业销售额达982亿元，店铺总数7685间。100家企业年销售额比上年增长53%，占我国社会消费品零售总额2.9%，市场份额比上年提高了45%。据专家预计，在未来几年内，连锁业的市场份额将可望超过传统百货业。2000年度我国10大综合连锁企业、餐饮连锁企业基本情况如下:
The 21st century will be a period of great development of China’s chain industry. Especially after China’s accession to the WTO, large-scale foreign chain enterprises will enter China and expand their businesses continuously. Competition will be fierce. So, what is the status quo of China’s chain industry? According to the statistics of China Chain Store & Franchise Association, in 2000, the sales volume of 100 large-scale chain enterprises in China reached 98.2 billion yuan and the total number of shops was 7,685. 100 enterprises annual sales increased 53% over the previous year, accounting for 2.9% of China’s total retail sales of social consumer goods, market share increased 45% over the previous year. According to experts, in the next few years, the chain’s market share will be expected to exceed the traditional department store.
