如果太过拘泥于“三”这个数字和“复仇”这个主题的一贯性的话,可能都会犯“只见树木不见森林”的错误。“复仇三部曲”是指朴赞郁导演近年来拍的三部以复仇为内容的作品,但是这个表现其实削弱了三部影片各自散发着的魅力和致命的香气。这三部影片之间并不像[星球大战三部曲]那样存在连续性和连贯性,是各自独立的故事,[我的复仇]的保守主义、[老男孩]的对称构图和[亲切的锦子]巧妙的时间结构等等都是独自可以充分吸引人的美学对象。即使这样我们硬把这三部作品捆绑在一起,是因为这三部影片在相辅相成间表现出一种微妙的差异。绑架和囚禁、残酷和幻想、基督教和性的描写,还有像玩旋转木马一样循环出场的演员……我们即使不可能将它们变成三胞胎,但是正因为有了“朴赞郁”这个相同的遗传因子,它们成了三兄妹。先说一说复仇这个主题,三部电影都竭力避免直线性的复仇结构,它们摒弃了这种体裁的影片谈论复仇的一贯方式。举个例子,如果是韩国的传统武侠影片,就会出现类似“为了替父报仇我等了三十年,整整磨了三十年的刀”等台词,用来展现主人公通过漫长的计划和修炼过程,只为一个目标勇往直前的故事,故事之中一般都只有一个复仇者,同样这个主角的复仇对象也只有一个,这是一种单线性结构——但是朴赞郁的复仇并没有这么简单。
If too rigidly adhered to the “three” number and the consistency of the theme of “revenge,” we may all make the mistake of “seeing only trees out of forests.” The Revenge Trilogy refers to the three vengeance films made by director Pu Chou-yuh in recent years, but this performance actually weakened the charm and fatal aroma of the three films. These three films are not as continuous and coherent as the [Star Wars Trilogy]. All three films are trying their best to avoid a straightforward revenge structure, and they abandon the genre’s usual way of talking about revenge. For example, if the traditional martial arts film in South Korea, there will be lines like “In order to avenge my father for three decades, a full thirty years of grinding knife,” and other lines, to show the protagonist through a long program and practice Process, only a goal of moving forward the story, the story is generally only one Avenger, the same protagonist of revenge only one object, which is a single linear structure - but Park Chan Wook’s revenge and not so simple.
