The Italian energy giant Eni Group has reached an agreement with France’s TotalFinaElf Group to purchase the company’s natural gas exploration and production operations in Italy. The ENI Group obtained a total of 4 inland surveys and 10 offshore oil licenses. The company said that the oil exploration operations are mainly carried out in central and southern Italy. The natural gas production is estimated to be about 700 million cubic meters.
