2013年10月22日下午2时50分,我国现代历史地理学开创者之一,我的文革前研究生导师侯仁之院士,以102岁高龄,在北京友谊医院安详地辞世。当天傍晚,尹钧科学弟(也是文革前考为仁之师的研究生,比我晚两年)打来电话告知这一噩耗。虽然之前北京大学历史地理研究中心唐晓峰等学弟曾告知医院已发过病危通知,今春3月17日与尹钧科学弟去北京大学校医院A26室探望过仁之师,见他长时间处于沉睡状
At 2:50 on October 22, 2013, academician Hou Renzhi, one of the pioneers of modern history and geography in China, and former postgraduate undergraduate of the Cultural Revolution, died peacefully at Beijing Friendship Hospital at the age of 102. In the evening of the same day, Yin Jun’s science brother (also a graduate student who was a benevolent teacher before the Cultural Revolution called me later than two years later) told me about this bad news.
