WirelessHD是由WirelessHD工作组所制定的一项无线高清传输技术标准,它可以提供5Gbps传输带宽和较低的延迟,满足数字高清信号的传输要求。WirelessHD将作为HDMI等有线高清接口的取代者,目标是让高清电视、影碟播放机、机顶盒、录像机、游戏机等家庭视听设备实现高清信号的无线传输。WirelessHD工作组由LG、松下、NEC、三星电子、索尼、东芝等消费电子领域的六大巨头在2006年12月共同成立,该组织在2008年2月3日正式发布WirelessHD 1.0版规范。
WirelessHD is a wireless HD transmission technology standard set by WirelessHD working group, it can provide 5Gbps transmission bandwidth and lower delay to meet the transmission requirements of digital high-definition signals. WirelessHD, as a replacement for the wired high-definition interface such as HDMI, aims to wirelessly transmit HD signals to home audiovisual equipment such as HDTVs, DVD players, set-top boxes, video recorders and game consoles. The WirelessHD Working Group was formed in December 2006 by the six giants of consumer electronics such as LG, Panasonic, NEC, Samsung Electronics, Sony and Toshiba. The group officially released WirelessHD version 1.0 specification on February 3, 2008.
