Valmet is the most important part of the newly established Metso company. Valmet is the world’s top supplier in the pulp and paper and wood-based panel industry. In 1998, net sales reached 1.9 billion euros and there were 10,900 employees worldwide. In recent years, Valmet’s position in the pulp and paper industry in China has become increasingly consolidated. This year, Valmet has obtained the purchase contracts for two paper and board production lines, namely the large newsprint production line of Qiqihar Heilong Group and the linerboard production line of Dongguan Nine Dragons Paper. In addition, the world’s first Valmet Opticoncept optimized concept machine will be in the year
