This article reviews the dialogue with Deng Xiaoping in 1981 by a letter writer in the form of epistolary letters from a Hong Kong author, Mr. Jin Yong (Cha Liangyong). Comparing Deng Xiaoping’s expectations with today’s development in China, we can see how many Deng Xiaoping’s political ideals have been realized.
