2012年11月25日,吐哈油田马朗凹陷马55井在二叠系条湖组喜获日产12.72m3高产工业油流,为油田公司建设“新疆大庆”添砖加瓦。今年,勘探科研人员开拓勘探领域,加大对马朗凹陷构造低部位油气藏的勘探力度。分析认为,位于牛圈湖构造带东南翼的马朗凹陷腹部地区,靠近马朗凹陷南部生烃中心,油源充足,具备深浅兼顾、立体勘探的潜力。为探索该区带含油气性及储量规模,进一步实现牛圈湖-马中地区含油连片,经过优选部署了马55井。马55井是部署在牛圈湖构造带东南翼的一口预探井,该井钻进中在西山窑组、三叠系及二叠系条湖组等
