I. Introduction Tao is a heavy anti-tank weapon used by the US Army infantry. It can be launched from ground-based, armored multipurpose vehicles and helicopters to destroy tanks, fortifications and other targets. “Tao” weapon system consists of launchers, optical sight, control box and launch tube, missile guidance device and other major components. While attacking the target, Tao’s shooter aimed at the Japanese standard with an optical sight cross and the infrared system detected the infrared energy emitted by the flying missile and produced a reference signal. The missile guidance device is used to detect the error of the missile’s trajectory so as to generate the necessary correction command signals to guide the missile to the target. Allegedly, in 65 ~ 3000 meters distance, the hit probability is greater than 90%. “Tao” is the second generation of heavy anti-tank missiles in the late sixties a better performance. This article only from the instrument design, the structure of the holding point for some discussion.
