在传统的育种过程中,产量与质量一直是一对矛盾。如何打破这种负相关规律,攻克这一难点,也一直是育种工作者的奋斗目标。近来美国 ARS 植物基因学家波顿(Burton)采用一种在动物育种过程中经常采用的限制指标选择法,育成一个大豆新品种,使其蛋白质含量从42%提高到46%,而且有较高的产量。在一定程度上,对蛋白质含量和产量的遗传学联锁关系有所突破。
