When this issue of “Heilongjiang Library” is dedicated to the readers, the wheel of the times has brought us into the 1990s. The editorial department of our magazine, while greeting the readers and authors of the New Year, still wants to communicate with us some of the ideas we have put in place in the new year and we believe we can get support and response. 1, starting from the sixth period in 1988, our magazine “Exploration and Contention” has published several articles on the theory of library science. The discussion of these articles is beneficial to the development of library science theory and the correct grasp of the research direction of library science. We welcome this
