我認为“因材施教”应当与“全面發展”并提作为教育方针。这并不是说过头的“全面發展”的教育方針错了,而是因我們在貫徹”全面發展”方針时,出了毛病,需要提出“因材施教”来补充。有人認为,“全面發展”已包括了“因材施教”,如果把“因材施教”加到“全面發展”中去,就是修改馬克思列宁主义的学說。他們大喊:“并不简单”、“要拿出根据来”。我看这是用大帽子来吓唬人,至于說“因材施教”“望之不似方針”当然就更不成其为理由了。馬克思、恩格斯、列宁,谁也沒有说过只有“全面發展”的教育方針才能体現他們的人类个性全面發展的教育学說,在文字上都不許有所增减。中国文字的“全面發展”并不足以完整地体現“个性全面發展”学說的精神,只有加上“因材施教”才更合适。
In my opinion, “teaching students according to their aptitudes” should be related to “all-round development” and to education as an education policy. This is not to say that the education policy of “all-round development” that goes too far is wrong, but because we have gone wrong in carrying out the “all-round development” policy and need to put forward the proposal of “teaching students in accordance with their aptitudes”. Some people think that “all-round development” has included “teaching students according to their aptitudes.” If we put “teaching students in accordance with their aptitude” to “all-round development,” it is to amend the doctrine of Marxism-Leninism. They shouted: “It’s not easy,” “It’s about coming out.” I think this is a big hat to scare people. As for “teaching students according to their aptitudes,” “it does not look like a guideline.” Of course, it is far from justified. Marx, Engels and Lenin all did not say that only the education policy of “all-round development” can reflect the education theory of their all-round development of human personality, and there must be no increase or decrease in writing. The “all-round development” of Chinese characters is not enough to fully embody the spirit of the theory of “all-round development of personality.” Only adding “teaching students according to their aptitude” is more appropriate.
