临汾地区位于我省南部,在北纬35°30′～37°,东经110°30′～112°30′区内,气候温暖,雨量充足,盛产小麦、棉花,人口密度为114.2人/平方公里,我省最大的河流汾河,由北向南,流经该区中部,汾河以东有太岳山脉,汾河以西有吕梁山脉。关于该区的鼠类及体外寄生蚤的调查工作,尚未见报道,近几年来,地、市、县卫生防疫系统结合防病治病,在这方面开展了一些工作,但没有完整的资料。1983年5～6月,结合我省蚤类区系调查及教学,我们对临汾地区汾河以东的翼城、浮山、安泽及汾河以西的
Linfen area is located in the southern part of our province.
