北京燕山石油化工公司研究院系北京燕山石油化工公司直属的综合性石油化工技术开发研究单位。成立于1971年9月15日,现任领导为:院长张天巧、党委书记赵芬、总工程师刘青、副院长洪定一、王旭东、张建军。该院除承担北京燕山石油化工公司的科研开发任务之外,还承担国家科委、中国石油化工总公司和北京市科委的科研开发项目。该院占地面积29.1万平方米,总建筑面积5.5万平方米,现有职工1200名,其中科技人员600余名,科技人员中有高级科技人员50多名,中级科技人员近300名,初级科技人员近300名。基本上形成了从情报调研、实验室研究、中间试验到过程设备开发、基础设计的配套技术开发力量。并形成了科研规划、计划编制与管理、科研条件及专利成果管理等专业管理人员队伍。
