Speaking of Japanese reading habits, many people will outline such a picture in my mind: In the Japanese subway, many people are quietly holding a book to read. Although with the rapid development of the digital age, more and more Japanese have turned from reading paper books to reading e-books, compared with other countries, Japan’s reading ratio is still at the forefront. The development of this reading habit is closely linked with Japan’s excellent practice of reading and promotion as well as the protection of national policies and laws. The promulgation of the legal provisions relating to reading in Japan provides the necessary policy support for the promotion of reading activities.
