中国现在正处于城市化加速发展的过程中,随着改革开放的不断深入,经济体制的改革和经济结构的调整、社会制度的变迁以及社会阶层的分化都对城市的发展产生了深刻的影响,中国城市的规模不断扩大,城市的功能、面貌、产业结构、生活水平都发生了很大的改变,市场经济转型背景下出现的贫富差距带来日益明显的城市居住空间的分异,城市居民空间应该如何分配的问题成为当前政府、社会和城市居民普遍关注的焦点议题。
