河南中医学院第三附属医院位于郑州市金水路东段,依偎在河南中医学院西侧,金水河蜿蜒而过,光大广场绿草如茵。周边环境优美,景色宜人。2003年以来医院先后被授予“河南省抗击非典先进基层党组织”、学院“文明单位标兵”、“三育人先进集体”等荣誉称号。医院设有“河南中医学院肝病研究所”、“河南中医学院脾胃病研究所”、“河南中医学院针灸推拿研究所”。医院技术力量雄厚、诊疗特色突出、服务水平优良,已成为省内外有较大影响的集医、教、研为一体的现代化综合性中医医院,首批省、市医保定点单位,省直离休干部定点医疗单位。近年来,我国医疗行业的格局和经营管理理念均发生了深刻变化,医院之间的竞争日趋激烈。值此转轨变型的关键时期,富有大局意识和开拓精神的张璞璘于2002年调任医院院长。上任伊始,便和果敢、干练的医院党总支书记王亚平一道,重新思考审视医院在医疗卫生产业价值链当中的位置,以学院东迁为契机,制定了医院五年发展规划,确立了发挥差异化特色优势,实施品牌战略的发展方向。以针灸推拿、康复保健为依托,以脊柱关节病为特色,以专科带动综合,分两步走,前期“大专科、小综合”,后期“大专科、大综合”,最终建成专科特色突出、中西医结合的省级示范附属医院。
