翻译的本质是文化之间的转换,而文化负载词是文化的代表。本文从惯习和资本视角出发,探讨《额尔古纳河右岸》英译本中文化负载词翻译策略及其背后的原因。研究发现,译者在翻译该小说中的文化负载词时以异化策略为主,归化策略为辅,这样的翻译策略的选择是惯习和资本引导下的必然结果。
The essence of translation is the transformation between cultures, while culturally loaded words are representative of culture. From the perspective of habit and capital, this article explores the strategies behind the translation of culturally loaded words in the English version of “The Right Bank of the Argun River” and the reasons behind it. The study finds that translators mainly use alienation strategies and naturalization strategies when translating the culturally loaded words in the novel. The choice of such translation strategies is the inevitable result under the guidance of habit and capital.
