外语学习的终极目标是掌握听说读写译的综合技能。背课文对于学生语言综合能力的提高有很大的促进作用,这一点已被许多教育者语言学家所共识。背课文尤其可以快速有效地提高学生口语及听力水平。这一点是无容置疑的。然而在学习者最为关心的应试层面上,背课文是否有效?通过本文可得出,在快速提高学生考试成绩上,背课文的方法依然优于背单词。背课文不仅对于培养语感有促进作用,对于学生的应试也有积极的促进作用,引导学生多背课文不失为提高外语教学质量的一种有效方法。
