研究和讨论汉语的语素具有重要的意义,因为汉语是一种以单音节语素为基本单位的、构词造句方式一致的语言体系,汉语的语素,跟汉语的语音基本单位——音节,跟汉语的书写基本单位——汉字“三位一体”;从构词法规律来看,汉语中绝大部分词的意义可以由构成它的语素意义推出,比如了解“工”、“人”这两个语素的意义就容易理解“工人”、“人工”这两个词的含义;汉语中几乎所有新词的产生都采取常用语素新组合的方式,比如:“编码、优生、航天、离休”等,所以,学习了有限的近四千常用字的意义和用法后再学汉语中繁多的词汇就十分方便。
