深圳华侨城OCT当代艺术中心(简称OCAT)从2005年成立起,便致力于推动当代艺术的发展,通过展览活动、学术研讨会以及“OCAT国际艺术工作室项目”、“OCAT当代舞蹈剧场演出季”、“OCAT主题活动日”等常设性项目,OCAT逐步建构成为一个具有研究性的独立当代艺术机构。2010年,OCAT在清理和总结已有的过去的同时,也开始了思考其他可能的方向,今后每年,“青年OCAT计划”都将成为华侨城当代艺术中心的重要项目,一系列富含国内外年轻艺术家元素的展览、研讨、出版活动将陆续上演,华侨城当代艺术中心有望开辟一个以持续的态度为青年艺术家提供关注、交流、推介的复合平台,也在事实上肩负起了一个成熟美术馆机构的使命。
