American Medical International Inc. announced that in X-ray diagnostics, new techniques have been developed that reduce the patient’s radiation dose by 30% with conventional X-ray machines. William Williams, a radiology consultant at the company, said the use of a composite carbon copolymer as a bed material for the diagnostic bed and an X-ray frontal patch can reduce the patient’s radiation dose by at least 30%. This invention reduces the exposure dose to the X-ray, thereby doubling the life of the X-ray tube and reducing the cost of X-ray device maintenance. The company conducted a six-month trial using a carbon composite for X-ray diagnosis of bed surfaces and matt panels. The experimenter said: Because a large amount of radiation has been absorbed by the body, only a small portion of the human body reaches the film. The rays must also penetrate the diagnostic bed and the hidden panel to make the film feel sensitive. The new carbon material absorbs very little X-rays so that almost all of the informative X-rays leaving the body reach the film. Radiation dose reduction of at least 30%. American Medical International Inc. will be on the company
