大学,在国人眼中是象牙塔;大学生,不论是往昔还是现在,在国人眼中仍然是有为青年。随着二十一世纪初的大学扩招、教育收费,大学教学普及化日趋明显,大学生也逐渐不再是“天之骄子”。即便如此,与这些象牙塔中的有为青年联系在一起的,仍然是意气风发、激扬文字、朝气蓬勃等“高大上”的词汇。但是,2004年云南大学马加爵残杀同学案、扬州大学秋水仙碱投毒事件,2007年中国矿业大学铊盐投毒案,2013年复旦大学研究生毒杀同学案,2014年台北捷运案等一系列大学生伤害事件所表现出来
