1981年,在平江县幕阜山海拔1100—1595.6米之间,发现有黄山松天然林6000亩,人工林500亩。在天然林中,有高大挺拔40—150年生、零星分布的成熟林,也有生机勃勃、茁壮成长、成片生长的中幼林。其中幼林占70％,但稀密不匀,多数生长过密,最密的每亩有4000多株;山谷、阳坡生长好,山脊、山顶生长较差。1976年直播的幼林也生长很好。
In 1981, an elevation of 1100-1595.6 meters was found in Mufu Mountain, Pingjiang County. There were 6,000 acres of natural forests of Huangshan pine and 500 acres of plantations. In the natural forest, there are tall and straight 40 - 150-year-old, sporadic distribution of mature forest, but also vigorous, robust growth, into a piece of growth of young forest. Among them, young forest accounted for 70%, but the sparsely-distributed and most of the growth was over dense with the densest of more than 4000 plants per acre.
