随着航空航天、原子能工业及高科技事业的发展,人们对高性能的纤维材料及其复合材料的要求越来越紧迫,引起许多国家的重视。日、美、法、俄等国对碳化硅纤维及其复合材料都投入科技力量进行开发研究,我国也做了一定的研究工作。日本在开发研制碳化硅纤维及其复合材料方面,已取得较大进展。 碳化硅(SiC)纤维具有耐高温氧化、耐化学腐蚀、高强度、高模量、吸收电磁波、耐中子和γ射线辐射、防热、半导体等功能,而且能与金属、树脂、陶瓷、玻璃等材料相复合。
