Dr.Ge-orge C.Lee, Dean and Professor of Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo, was recently appointed Acting Director of the National Earthquake Engineering Research Center. He will use 20% of the energy to guide the center’s programs and activities and lead the search for the center’s fixed director. Dr. Lee’s recent research activities mainly in seismic engineering. In addition to his research on steel structures, he is working on problems of non-proportional damping, dam-reservoir-soil interaction and other soil-structure interactions, funded by the National Science Foundation and the National Earthquake Engineering Research Center.
