1983年4月24日的清晨,乔冠华躺在北京医院的病床上情绪低沉。他原来计划这一天要去参加清华大学1933级学友们的毕业50周年返校庆祝活动。然而,这天早上醒来量体温时又有低热。病房的医生亲自来劝说他放弃清华之行,怕他劳累之后病情加剧。我也从旁劝阻。开始,冠华执意要去,但其实他自己也清楚他虚弱的体质已支持不住一天的活动和兴奋,最后同意不去了。
In the early morning of April 24, 1983, Qiao Guanhua was lying depressed in a hospital bed in Beijing Hospital. He planned to go back to school on the day he went to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the graduation of 1933 classmates at Tsinghua University.
