In the present study, 223 primary students were selected as research samples. Based on the self-compiled oral Chinese ability test for beginners, this study explored the relationship between individual background factors and oral test performance. The results show that age, nationality and Chinese family backgrounds have a significant impact on oral ability, while gender, occupation, mother tongue background, education level and motivation type have no significant effect on oral ability. Among them, young beginners’ oral ability is better than middle-aged beginners; European and American beginners spoken at a relatively high level, followed by East Asia and Southeast Asian countries, while beginners in other countries have weaker oral proficiency; For non-Chinese beginners.
