This article reviews the relationship between the world peace and the humanism spirit proposed by Clys Ryan from three aspects: First, the issue of world peace is only discussed from the Western tradition rather than the global scope; second, the use of a theory that is repeatedly abused by rationalists Of “universality” as the philosophical basis of world peace; thirdly, it discusses abstractly the relationship between humanism and world peace without discussing its reality. On the whole, Ryan’s intentional or unintentional avoidance of world peace is mainly caused by Western civilization. The search for the foundation of peace has neglected the value of the peace culture of the East. The author believes that the growth of non-Western peaceful national forces is the basis for counterbalancing and offsetting hegemonism and promoting the world toward peace. On this basis, it explores the universally recognized positive character of the Chinese nation and its positive development in restraint of domineering in Western civilization significance.
