毛蚶是渤海湾主要经济贝类,资源一度相当丰富。捕捞毛蚶曾成为我省群众渔业主要作业项目之一,1976年产量高达四万余吨为历史最高水平,约占我省海洋渔业总产量的三分之一。但从1977年开始,资源量逐年减少,从此一蹶不振,一些作业船只不得不离开渤海湾渔场或转为其它作业。渤海湾毛蚶资源的盛衰,关系到我省海洋渔业生产,关系到市场供应和出口换汇,也直接关系到广大渔民的生活收入。因此为恢复毛蚶资源,科技工作者作了大量
Maui is the main economic shellfish in the Bohai Bay, resources were quite rich. Cattle catfish has become one of the major fishing projects in our province. In 1976, the output of 40,000 tons was the highest in history, accounting for about one-third of the total output of marine fisheries in our province. Since 1977, however, the amount of resources has been decreasing year by year. Since then, some operating ships have to leave the Bohai Bay fishery or switch to other operations.
