Microwave-SP immunohistochemistry was used to study the expression of cell adhesion molecule CD15 in 95 cases of gastric cancer, 60 cases of cancerous mucosa and 60 cases of normal mucosa. As a result, CD15 showed enhanced expression in gastric cancer, and the positive rate (86.3%) was significantly higher than that of non-cancerous mucosa (P<0.05). The expression intensity of CD15 in this differentiated gastric cancer was significantly higher than that of highly differentiated gastric cancer (P<0.005). The positive rate of CD15 expression was significantly higher in gastric cancer infiltrating into muscular layer and serosal layer than infiltration into mucosal layer and submucosa (P<0.025). The positive rate of lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than that of negative group (P<0.005). . It is suggested that CD15 has certain clinical significance for judging the differentiation of gastric cancer, malignancy, invasion and metastasis, and predicting prognosis.
