2月20日,科技部部长徐冠华在2004年全国科技工作会议上作了题为《全面落实科学的发展观,努力开创科技工作新局面》的工作报告。报告围绕胡锦涛总书记代表党中央提出的坚持以人为本,树立全面、协调、可持续的发展观,以及统筹城乡发展、区域发展、经济社会发展、人与自然和谐发展、国内发展和对外开放的“五个统筹”精神,深入阐述了要大力弘扬科学的发展观的重要意义,既为我们进一步做好科技工作指明了方向,又提出了明确的任务和要求,全国科技界要结合科技工作实际认真贯彻落实。
On February 20, Xu Guanhua, Minister of Science and Technology, delivered a working report titled “Fully Implementing the Scientific Outlook on Development and Striving to Create a New Situation for Science and Technology Work” at the 2004 National Science and Technology Work Conference. The report center on the proposal made by General Secretary Hu Jintao on behalf of the party Central Committee and adhering to the principle of putting people first, establishing a comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development concept, and coordinating urban and rural development, regional development, economic and social development, harmonious development of man and nature, domestic development and opening up to the outside world. Five co-ordination "spirit, in-depth expounding the importance of vigorously carrying forward the scientific concept of development not only pointed out the direction for our further scientific and technological work but also set forth specific tasks and requirements. The scientific and technological community in the country should combine the actual work of science and technology Conscientiously implement.
