2002年6月9日,以“促进各少数民族间的相互学习,巩固和发展平等、团结、互助的社会主义民族关系,加快少数民族和民族地区的经济建设和社会发展,实现中华民族的全面振兴”为宗旨的中华民族团结进步协会,在北京宣告成立。在同日举行的该协会成立大会上,国家民委党组副书记、副主任江家福同志当选为中华民族团结进步协会会长。会后,本刊记者专访了江家福同志。
On June 9, 2002, “accelerating the mutual learning among all ethnic minorities and consolidating and developing the socialist ethnic relations based on equality, solidarity and mutual assistance so as to speed up the economic construction and social development in ethnic and ethnic minority areas and achieve the goal of comprehensiveness of the Chinese nation Revitalization ”for the purpose of the Chinese nation Association for the Advancement of Unity, was announced in Beijing. At the inaugural meeting of the association held on the same day, Comrade Jiang Jiafu, deputy secretary of the State Ethnic Organization Committee and vice director, was elected as president of the Chinese Association of Solidarity and Progress. After the meeting, correspondents interviewed Comrade Jiang Jiafu.
