中国文学在英语世界的经典化对于中国文学走向世界与中国文化外推意义重大,至今未有研究就中国文学在英语世界经典化构建、受制因素与应对措施进行探讨。因此,本文拟在厘定中国文学英译作品“经典”含义的基础上,探讨中国文学在英语世界经典化路径、构建的内外部条件,进而剖析中国文学在英语世界经典化的受制因素,并进一步提出应对措施。研究发现,中国文学在英语世界的经典建构与译作本身的艺术价值和可阐释的意义空间、翻译选材与社会文化的互动、译作评论与推介、社会对文学英译的认识大环境等内外因素有紧密联系。加强中国文学作品的艺术创作、翻译选材与社会文化的互动、译作的评论与推介,优化社会对文学英译的认识大环境,有利于中国文学在英语世界的经典化。
The classicization of Chinese literature in the English-speaking world is of great significance for the Chinese literature to go global and Chinese culture. So far, no study has been conducted on the construction of Chinese literature in the English-speaking world, the factors that are restricted and the measures to be taken. Therefore, on the basis of determining the meaning of “classical” in the English translation of Chinese literature, this article intends to explore the internal and external conditions for the establishment of Chinese literature in the English world, and then to analyze the restricted factors of Chinese literature in the English-language world. And further proposed countermeasures. The research finds that the internal and external factors such as the classic value of Chinese literature in the English-speaking world, the artistic value of translation itself, the space of interpretable meaning, the interaction between material selection and social culture, the comment and recommendation of translation, and the social environment of English translation of literature Closely linked. Strengthening the artistic creation of Chinese literary works, the interaction between material selection and social culture, the translation and comment, and the optimization of society’s understanding environment for the translation of literary works are conducive to the classics of Chinese literature in the English-speaking world.
