谢良佐(1050—1103),字显道,寿春上蔡(今河南汝阳)人,学者称上蔡先生,宋神宗元丰元年(1078),程颢知扶沟县,良佐往从问学,亦师事程颐。元丰八年(1085),登进士第,后历仕州县。绍圣四年(1097),任湖北应城宰,胡安国因杨时引见,识谢良佐,胡安国“以典学使者行部过之,不敢问以职事,顾因绍介,请以弟子礼见。”对谢良佐肃然起敬,“遂禀学焉”~①。宋徽宗建中靖国元年(1101)初,以官居京师,“上殿召对,徽宗与之语,有意用之,先生退而日:‘上意不诚’乃求监局,得京西竹木场。或问:‘建中年号与德宗同,不佳。’先生日‘恐亦不免一播迁。’坐口
