大学的功能本质上就是文化的启蒙、传承与创新,而这种文化功能正是通过育人得以实现,课程教学则是文化育人的主阵地。大学英语课程作为高校公共课之一,由于覆盖面广、文化多样性等特点在文化育人中具有较大的优势。笔者从社会因素、师生因素以及教学理念角度分析了目前大学英语在文化育人功能方面缺失的原因,最后重点提出了几条加大大学英语文化育人功能的途径:更新观念,注重文化导入;不断学习,提升文化修养;立足教材,充分挖掘教材中的文化点;广开渠道,让学生多接触英语文化;加强母语文化输入,提升母语文化素养。
The function of a university is essentially the enlightenment, inheritance and innovation of culture, which is achieved through education. Curriculum teaching is the main front for cultural education. As one of the common courses in colleges and universities, college English courses have great advantages in cultural education because of their wide coverage and cultural diversity. From the perspective of social factors, teacher-student factors and teaching philosophy, the author analyzes the reasons for the lack of college English in the function of cultural education and finally puts forward some ways to enhance college English education: to update concepts and focus on cultural introduction ; Continue to learn and enhance cultural accomplishment; based on teaching materials, fully tap the cultural points in the textbooks; wide open channels to enable students to have more exposure to English culture; strengthen the mother tongue culture input to enhance the cultural awareness of native language.
