近年来,一种可变功率分配器(VPD)作为通信卫星上的天线增益控制单元受到重视。本文就卫星上用的、基于新的作用原理提出的缝耦合波导形VPD的方案进行了讨论。这种VPD是在过去的短缝方向耦合器的耦合部加载环形闭锁铁氧体而构成,它具有小型、轻量,低耗的优点。本文根据铁氧体的加载耦合部的TE_(20)模和TE_(20)模相互干涉的原理,用近似模型在理论上说明了不需要匹配单元可以得到特性较好的功率分配作用,实验证明了理论的正确性。其主要特性:在20.0~22.0GHz频段,反射损耗为20db以上,方向性为20db,插入损耗为0.2db以下。
In recent years, a variable power divider (VPD) is gaining attention as an antenna gain control unit on communication satellites. In this paper, we discuss the scheme of the coupled-waveguide VPD proposed by satellite based on the new principle of action. This kind of VPD is formed by loading ring-locked ferrite at the coupling part of the short-slot directional coupler in the past, and has the advantages of small size, light weight and low consumption. According to the principle that the TE 20 mode and the TE 20 mode of the ferroelectric loaded coupling part interfere with each other, the approximate model is used to theoretically show that the power distribution with good characteristics can be obtained without the matching unit. The experiment proves The correctness of the theory. Its main features: 20.0 ~ 22.0GHz frequency band, the reflection loss of 20db or more, the direction of 20db, insertion loss of 0.2db or less.
