洪昇《长生殿》以历史上的爱情题材寄托君臣遇合的政治理想,既受到文学自身发展的影响,也是自己创作上逐步演变的结果。戏曲《长生殿》融入诗词中美人寄托政治理想的精神,还在于洪昇具有戏曲与诗歌亲密关系的理论。
